Atheism is Logic (Response to Atheism vs. Logic)

I try not to go after people for making spelling errors -- goodness knows I've made some on this channel -- but "Atheism vs. Logic" made kind of a whopper when he typed a "v" instead of an "i" in his own channel name. 😂Anyway, this is a shorter reaction video to a young-earther who thinks that mRNA is the magic bullet against atheism.

My friend Deconverted Man seems to have already talked to this guy, a whopping three years ago, and encouraged him to learn informal logic and science. It doesn't appear to have helped.

Strictly speaking, it's not "logic" but empirical evidence that makes us assume that the laundry has been folded by a human (or perhaps robot). So "logically", this man must demonstrate empirically that God folded the cosmic laundry...

Wonderful response, as always. I love the fact that he found a syllogism that is valid... and stopped there. In no way did he demonstrate that it was sound (preferring instead to just assert it), so it's perfectly reasonable to simply disregard his argument, which I rapidly did.

I think you missed the point of the laundry analogy. He didn't say that you found the laundry on top of the dryer, but rather that you found it folded in the dryer, leaving the possibility that at the end of the drying cycle the random bits of laundry just happened to end up in a neat, orderly pile. I presume he is arguing that that could not happen without the intentional intervention of an outside agent, just as the wonderful organization of the universe, or DNA or the eye or any other silly creationist example, couldn't have happened without the intervention of a sentient being. The sentient being in the laundry's case would be, I presume, human, although one could posit a poltergeist, but the point of it being in the dryer is, to me, that the agent that folded the laundry is just trying to screw with your mind. So too with the divine planner posited by creationists. If this was a plan, I don't think the planner is someone I want to worship.

The man's "How to end a debate with an atheist" is very silly, because in my experience, you can end a debate by saying you aren't going to debate anymore. Do you win if you do that? No. But he said "end", not "win".

Thank you! Atheism vs Logic hasn't presented any logic since he started his Fb page over 3 years ago. I hang out there to try to rebut his flawed messages. He is obsessed with the idea that cells, genes, etc are literal machines and codes. He cannot comprehend what a metaphor, analogy, or simile is no matter how many times we atheists explain it to him.
