Jamie Kennedy sat down for a recent podcast interview to address a continuity issue with the character Randy. In an earlier scene, Sidney and Randy walk to class, and they talk about how the killings on campus must be another killing spree starting all over again. At one point in the conversation, Randy randomly switches to an English accent for the rest of the scene, but there’s no clue why. It turns out that Jamie admitted that he still has no idea why that happened. Later on, Randy makes a reference to fake nudes of Gale Weathers, who is played by Courtney Cox. This is a reference to real life fake images of Courtney Cox that appeared online prior to the production of this movie starting.

Here is the actual reason. So the scene is a long take and they kept messing up. So Jamie was thinking it was gonna get messed up again so he just decided to have some fun and say his line in a British accent. But that take was actually done perfectly so that's the one they ended up using

I just know what I've looked like in the past during a deep depression. And I know what my cousin looked like when we was depressed and drinking heavily. I thought you were gonna bring up the miss quote in that scene from Aliens. Where Joshua Jackson’s character was supposed to miss quote the movie and Randy was supposed to correct him. However Jackson said the right quote and Randy misquoted.
