Focus on trucks and buses from the outset. One hydrogen truck or bus is the equivalent of over 50 cars, in terms of emissions reduction.

Using renewable energy to split water, then recover the hydrogen then compress it, ship it, retail the hydrogen, then oxidize that in a fuel cell to produce electricity for the electric motor is maybe not the best use of that renewable energy if it could be used directly in an EV. The benefit of hydrogen is a much faster charging than an EV but that comes at a high cost.
