I decided to recreate Skrillex's hit song "First of the Year (Equinox)" a few weeks ago, and never got around to finishing it until today.

Some notes are slightly wrong or off because I rushed finishing this as I am very busy, but I don't really care since it's just a recreation...my main focus was the recreation of Skrillex's synths. There's also no sub-bassline. I only recreated the midrange basses.

Also, try to keep in mind that this is a simple REMAKE, !NOT! a remix. If I were to try and actually remix this track, it would sound a thousand times better, because then I'd actually put longer hours into it.

This kinda shows how simplistic Skrillex's music is. All of the samples you don't hear in this track are the ones that Skrillex personally stole from Deadmau5 and other Dubstep artists when he was signed under them.

Obvious that you haven't been studying music theory for 14 years, or you would have arrived at "atonal time spaced sound instances" and realized how all that terminology is really just to be able to communicate to others what the ear can grasp naturally, more often than not.

honestly no one will ever make a good skrillex remake you have to appriciate he is fameous because he does what he does unlike anyone else he takes alot of time making all his sounds and things sound very professionnal. im not telling you you did a bad job i can tell what you tried to do but only skrillex can make skrillex. prove me wrong i would love for that to happen anyone who they think can try its definately a good learning experence

i apologize for my grammar i was not reading what i typed. what i meant to say was, when in comes to skrillex you have to know that skrillex is famous because he can make a song like nobody else. that's why it is hard to recreate his sounds or his songs. because he puts a lot of time and effort into his sound modulation. and other things, only skrillex can make skrillex sound good. ( i hate making myself look uneducated sometimes when i just don't really read what i typed
