DUBSTEP IS SO MUCH FUN TO PLAYYYYY. Sheesh.

Seriously, if you play drums.. you have to give dubsetep a go on the kit. Because it's so rhythmically driven and already so busy anyways, it just lends itself SO well to overplaying. And we KNOW how much fun it is to overplay sometimes :) I just threw tons of fills into this one, pretty much whatever came to mind, stoked on the way it turned out! I hear Skrillex actuall lives pretty close to where I am right now (Camarillo, CA).. can somebody please tell him I'd be up for a jam sesh anytime?

In my opinion, this particular drum cover truly shows how drastically Cobus has evolved as a drummer in these past years. Keeping in mind that for this kind of music, it's not as simple to compose groovy fills as you'd think. The song really thrives to be a mindless drum solo song (as seen in the middle portion of the video) due to the bass drops, which leaves little to none space for creative drum patterns. Yet he really managed to corporate them into the cover and nailed it. Amazing job!

What I love about your drum covers, and what separates you from other you tubers is that you know restraint, and you know how to pair harsh with soft so that it isn't all 100% nonsense the entire time. Great job, man. Keep it up

I love the fact that he covered this. It really isn't even a cover. It's him playing drums to a song that has basically a set beat. Just shows how good of a drummer/percussionist he truly is. Love all your stuff Cobus!!! Keep rockin man!!!

I don't understand why people are getting on his case here. It's called a "cover" for a reason, it is his take on a song, and it's designed entirely around what he wants to play. There's no such thing as a wrong or right cover in my opinion
