Easy to find your dream college. But getting into your dream job once you spent an arm and a leg at your dream college is hard.

Those who are about to graduate don’t feel pressured to go to a university be smart! Don’t be like those people who complain about them paying back student loans they can be avoided. I started off at a community college for two years then transferred to a university for another two years then obtained my bachelors degree. For my first two years at a community college I applied for fafsa and was awarded pell grant money that doesn’t have to be paid back so I basically I finished two years worth of schooling for free but while I was going to school I worked but only 10-15 hours a week and still had time for myself throughout the two years I was saving money for a university I was able to still get pell grant money and pitch in out of my pocket to pay for tuition for the next remaining years and to be honest I thought it was going to be more so I had a lot of money still left over. I bought myself a new car after I realized all my tuition will be paid without any debt. Moral of the story try to stay away from student loans there are other ways to pay for school and no I’m not saying to do what I did but at least to find what’s best for you. I hope all the best for those going off to college and don’t give up you all got this!

Don't go if you can't handle the stress or finance, that's my advice.
And it's fine to change majors.

Trade school, community college is a good option too. Also majoring in something tangible. Liberal arts or communications may have been good majors 20 years ago. But now companies want specialized workers. Dream big but dream smart. I switched majors in college after realizing there’s no real careers in what I originally wanted. Now I’m a welder making way more than I would’ve and have no student debts.

What do you want to do after hs, sadly the only appropriate answer seems to be college. Not everyone can live off mommy and daddys money tho, or even earn scholarships, nonetheless, 4 year college may put you in a spiraling debt for life, and you may not even like your "dream job" after 4 months. I say graduate and do what YOU want, not what a controlled society wants you to do 😀

First, find out what’s available in your region or region you plan to move to and decide what you want to do there. Secondly, learn what you need to do to get that job as your career. Third, only if it is mandatory for you planned career, find a college that you are accepted into and begin to complete your degree, otherwise, attend a training school/apprenticeship for your skill of choice. If you have chosen to attend a college, save money wherever you can and get a job to save up money to pay for your expenses.

You have to first decide the most important qualities in a college. These could be fields of study, cost, size, distance...you have to decide which of these is the most important. When you know that, it gets much easier.

I knew exactly what field I wanted, which narrowed it down, and I knew the size I wanted, which narrowed it down even more. Location and price were not my biggest concern, and I ended up getting a great deal on both.
My brother has a general idea of the program he wants as well as the size, but things like sports & clubs & Greek life are more important to him than to me. It’s way less overwhelming when you can rank your preferences.

I’m not going to college because I’m gonna be a comedian.

Do yourself and your bank account a favor and skip the University. Student debt is a nightmare. Go to a Technical or Trade school. You will be set for life and not swimming in debt.

I hope to go to MIT and become a successful entrepreneur like Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne, though it is quite difficult

Your dream school should be the one that costs the least. They all teach the same thing
