My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

I work a saw/mower shop in Texas and literally all of my mechanics watch your videos. Thank you for spreading the word on tru fuel. That red shit don’t burn

it says something that the canned fuel company is showing the videos to their advertising department instead of their quality control department.

You’re going to love this one. I found a Stihl MS170 at the dump on the ground near the dumpster. Pulled it a few times to see it wasn’t seized, but wouldn’t start. Took it home. Watched this video and emptied the fuel(light blue). Put in my non-ethanol mix - it fired up on the second pull! Thank you very much! MD

I am a former diesel mechanic and it really upsets me when I have a fuel issue on one of my pieces of off road equipment. You have taught me what I needed to know. I appreciate it.

I was a user of that fuel for years so I decided to do my own test, let's just say I'll be mixing my own fuel now.
Thanks for doing these videos 👍

"It's light it's pink, it's engineered fuel from the big box store" Now that's the start of a country song if ever I heard one.

I soooo appreciate all of your videos. I am speaking from 31 years as a shop teacher and about a dozen years as a consumer products mechanic at a John Deere dealership on summers, nights, weekends and holidays. Your presentations are always spot-on and well presented. I enjoy them all. Even when you sometimes swim upstream from the big boys you always have all your ducks in a row and speak from real world experiences. You are a natural educator and a great example to young ladies that traditional gender barriers can certainly be crossed.

I injured my rotator cuff just watching this! Great information, thanks!

Have you considered sending some samples of fuel from one of the machines that isn't running properly to one of those independent fuel / oil testing centers to see what's in it? it would be nice to know if it's something that's missing, not supposed to be there, external contamination, water absorption, etc. it would also show if the contents and additives that they claim are present are actually there.

I've ridden 2 stroke motorcycles since I was a kid. I have always mixed my own fuel. Never even knew they had this stuff in little cans for ridiculous prices. You would think it would be better than pump. Thanks for the videos making people aware and saving them money.

I'll back you up on this one Bre, 100%. I commented on a previous video of yours too concerning the canned pre-mix. I have been a certified OPE technician for 30 years, and I can't count the number of Stihl units that have come into my shop that won't even start with this crappy fuel in them. Get rid of the pink garbage (or whatever else they might be using in there), replace it with the good stuff and voila, vroom vroom, Bob's your uncle. Spot on! And if the manufacturer of the canned pre-mix doesn't like you criticizing their product, then I believe the onus is on THEM to make a better product!

I had an emergency 1 gallon container emergency fuel. I used it at about 1 year. The container smelled like stale karosene behind my truck seat. In almost empty tank the truck wheezed, sputtered and shuttered for a mile to pump station for a few gallons. The truck barely survived. After a full tank of REAL FUEL it finally recovered. Barrymans b12 helped later on.

Ive switched to using canned VP fuel over unleaded pump fuel because the ethanol in ohio is 15%. Before the switch the blower was experiencing a major bog. Now, my blower and trimmer start easy and run great. You wont have a problem running VP fuel. They literally make racing fuel used by major big name race teams from boats, cars, motorcyces and radio controlled nitro engines.

I learned my lesson when Bre had her first video on the expensive premix gas. Took a craftsman weed eater that would not work and stored for several years. I put new plug and I mixed my own gas and been running ever since. Chickanic is the bomb

If that isn't definitive proof I don't know what is! Thanks for saving us a lot of frustration, awesome video!

I absolutely love your channel. I frequently am on your channel finding the solution to my husband and I small engine issues. Every single time I have been here watching our solution I have found myself to have watched several of your other videos you have shared regarding a issue we have with something else within our equipment that is completely irrelevant to todays issue. lol. 😆 needless to say your my mentor girl. I love your content, I love your career, and I respect you for being the girl who makes a difference in today’s world. Thank you for everything you share with us, you have helped my husband and I so many times! 💚💚
