More profound info from Naval! It’s baffling that Naval isn’t more popular!

Actually a huge part of Good science is building theories based of predictive models constructed by the past. Great science talks in varying levels of probability held up by past, repeatable experience. In most cases, but not all, a sign of Bad science is when you hear someone talk or believe in terms of absolutes.

lost me a bit with this one. all data and information is collected and exists in the past. our entire survival depends on a prediction model that we build with these past experiences. hmm

Why are these so short? Long-form versions would be much more pleasant

Naval is like a teacher that could inspire Students in this knowledge world for the better but one that i never would have had had there not been this Internet age.

The secular world is complicated in that politics is everywhere. But I agree Naval's sharing offers valuable lessons to get around the knowledge world. My gratitude though worthless I admit I hold. If one day I could earn a dignified living, then my gratitude May worth a dime.

naval Thanks.

The swan point is a very good one and I think it's something that's often overlooked. I heard about it but the example given were white and black sheep. Just because we've observed something with our limited senses and see a pattern doesn't mean that we can conclusively claim what'll happen in the future. This is why statistics are always more reliable than anecdotes for example.
