another way to do the problem is :
1. find another point on the line.
2.make new vector with the first point on the line and the second point on the line called (v)
3. find the project of u onto v
4. find the orthogonal component of u ---> u(vector) - (projection of u onto v)
5. find the norm of the ||orthogonal component|| its has messy fractions involved but its equals the same :)

to find (q) you can also take (project of u onto v) + (p1)
