Last year I asked my community what they thought was the absolute BEST video game song of all time was and Undertale from Undertale was the 20th top result! I'll be counting down to #1 over the next few months!

I've been struggling to get back into a weekly video schedule honestly since I broke my thumb last year and now that I'm back home from my trip to the east coast and I'm feeling excited to hit up not only some amazing songs from this list I haven't done, but possibly redo some older ones, I'm committed to putting my all into getting back on the saddle. This song was one that I had particular emotional connection to as I played Undertale very close to it's release and it holds a lot of memories from that time. I tried to pour a lot of those feelings into the arrangement of this one.

One thing I'm going to be aiming to do with this series of videos is to have something of a return to form for this channel. While I'm playing around with what works still, I'm hoping to really try to be simple with the execution of each video, only focusing on what matters rather than try to go over the top with video production or extra elements. For the first time in the entire timeline of this channel, I'm using a different video editing software (DaVinci Resolve) so I'm still learning the ropes of it, but hope there isn't too much of a difference from what you're expecting.

I fired this up as I was stepping off a plane to walk to my connecting flight. Aside from how it lasted exactly as long as it took to walk there, this song is just an incredible piece of music to walk through a busy airport to while surrounded by all sorts of people on their own journeys.

One thing you do extremely well is balancing making each song your own while being true to the song you’re covering. This song will never be confused with the non-metal version, but you still capture the soul of the multiple parts and the gentle motif at the core of the song.
