Greatest engine of all time. It’s great at all RPMs and incredibly cost effective and fuel efficient for its massive displacement. Just don’t forget to “fix” the heads

There are several people that built the LS7s and each has their names individually stamped on an engine plate.
The value issue was due to incorrect machining of the value guides not the valves themselves

Love my LS7. Accepted the risk and had the issues addressed. Still, it can be an issue. But, this was my dream car and life is short.

With the "wiggle" system in place we essentially ensure short term performance at the price of reliability

... and still has a big issuie with valve width tollerances, that can cause catastrophic engine failure also at quite low mileage

Got a fully built forged lq4 467 hp and 439 tq to an 28 inch tire very happy with it. Plenty for the street

Yet, I just watched a video about how these LS7 engines have a cool problem of dropping valves. Yeah, no thank you.

You just have to figure on immediately fixing the heads on an LS7. I bought an LS3 and may sc it .

Now, if GM had stood behind the intake valve issue as they should Swallows the valve and thirteen thousand dollars down the drain.
