Chilling and wonderful ending. God bless all that have stood and continue to stand up for freedom everywhere.

I remember first seeing this film when it first was released. I was around 13, and when that wonderful theme music started (3:55 here, ) I just welled up. Beautiful city. Never been there, but thank goodness it wasn't blown up, and freedom prevailed.

Very underrated film of an incredible piece of history. To have been there, especially as a French (or Spanish) soldier would have been a moment worth going back in time for.

History has good and bad days for all cities, this was a great day to be a Parisian.

Excuse me, but watching this ending made me - for a little while - feel French.

Vive la France!

Today 8 nov 2024, for the first time since the fire of 2019, the bells of Notre-Dame are ringing out again in Paris 😍🙏 🔔

People love war. Not so much while it's going on but when it's over.
It's never over. That's the tragedy.

General Choltitz should have got a French medal for defying Hitler and saving Paris from destruction.

Spring 2020 - Under Coronavirus stay-at-home order; a minor inconvenience compared to what Europe's citizens endured during 2 world wars. In WWII, Frances leaders fled Paris so the Nazis would not destroy it to get to them. Soon, the rest of France fell which is why THIS IMAGE of a city which, like so many others, should have been bombed to ruin but was SAVED. God Bless ALL the souls of all the soldiers & citizens who stood up to the Nazis! Still praying for PEACE ON EARTH.

I had to come here after reading that Notre Dame's bells were rung again, after its disastrous fire of 2019...

Paramount Pictures is replaced by “THE END” in its film company logo indicated in the middle at the end of the end credits (NOT POPULAR). Also there’s no closing phrase “A Paramount Pictures Production”, “A Paramount Pictures Release”, or “in Association with Paramount Productions”.
