Beautiful and inspiring music, especially for times like these. I love the end of this film when the aerial view of the liberation of Paris in black and white turns to color and the city is still there.

I love the bit in this film when they put up the Tricolour for the first time in 4 years (banned by the Nazis) on top of the Prefecture.

Very enjoyable film all round. The book on which it is based is also a good read.

Very well done. At last a new recording(digital) of this music that I have been hoping for is accomplished. Thanks to this orchestra and youtube. I owned a vinyl of the sound track and eventually a cd when it came out. If only digital recording was available then(in 1966) that soundtrack would have been tremendous with all the drums, cymbals, trumpets and in addition as I recall, Mr.Jarre was using 12 grand pianos in his orchestra to record this soundtrack. It would be so wonderful to hear all these instruments without any distortions !!! What a joy ?
