I’m 70 years old and saw Rocky the first weekend it was in the theatre. Apollo Creed was such an amazing and powerful character and it was hard for me to decide which one I liked more, him or Rocky. Every film I saw him in I loved. When a friend sent me the article that he had passed shook me. Rest in peace Carl, you will be missed.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Carl Weathers in the first Rocky was phenomenal. In the build up to the fight when he is dressed as Uncle Sam and he is pointing at Rocky and saying “You, I want YOU” and then he kids with Joe Frazier saying “You’re next Joe!” Awesome acting. RIP, Carl. Thanks for all the great memories!

I'm crying right now, like wtf? He wasn't even that old, he inspired me and his acting was that of someone that inspires hope. Carl I know you're reading this from heaven and smiling next to God, thank you. This South African white boy will miss you forever, thanks for showing us friendship and an undying spirit.
