Same lifters are in my Ford 6.0, same part number, yes, GM and Ford use the same crappy lifters from the same source. Except with my 6.0, it's a lot more difficult.

2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate L87. I head lifter tap, headed straight to the dealership, and it died from a bent rod about 100 yards from the service entrance. Blocks are 5 weeks backordered. Service manager said they've replaced over 400 L87 blocks in the last year for Yukon/Sierra/Escalade/Tahoe models 21-present.

I see your yukon with a check engine light on ? Is that related to the lifters issue?

What normally are the symptoms of bad lifters ?

Have a slight ticking noise on my 2015 Tahoe with the 5.3L AFM. I suspect it’s like the first lifter you showed. I will be driving my other car until I can dive into it further. It may be something else as it’s a very faint ticking noise but it doesn’t seem to be exhaust and it’s not spark related. I truly think it’s early signs of one lifter roller starting to fail. Hoping if I jump on it now I can save it still and not need a camshaft as well.

Great video, im about to dig into my 2014 6.2 silverado. Having same similar chirping noise as yours and i also hear a tick/tap. I only have the noise no codes or missfire truck actually still runs smooth i have noticed my oil pressure rising a little above 40 and drops back down. Did you have any other symptoms other than the noise?

Miles and never had lifter problems

Then i brought a 2017 chev tahoe
And now i have lifter problems

These new vehicles are craps.
I spent 30000 to have this
Problems.

Was hard to find but this is the same noise im getting, different from the common ticking. Mine just started. On a 05 5.3l LM7. Has 280k. Going to put some ls7 lifters. And beehive springs. Was your cam damaged??
