I just read this and Misrule in about a week back to back, and I am ruined. What a great series! The audiobooks were also great to listen along to.

I am currently wandering around my house in a haze trying to figure out what to do with myself. I’m thinking I’ll read A Spindle Splintered next to help me scratch the itch I now have for more Sleeping Beauty-adjacent stories since you reviewed it so well!

When I first heard of this story, I thought it was creepy and weird cause Maleficient was originally old enough to be Aurora's mom and had known her since she was a baby. Needless to say, I'm glad I started it because it's becoming one of my favorite fantasy books.

I love how it really felt like I was a disgrace, a mongrel, a burden, I felt so much for alyce with all the shit they did to her. Also it was the fae that softened the curse so they wouldn't all just die at 21 regardless, but I'm not sure
