The USB port'll help with upgrading firmware and adding roms. Hopefully the kinks'll be ironed out that way.

I got mine 1 month ago and I think it’s an updated version from the one in this video . haven’t seen any other console with a faster way to switch the controller from p1 to p2 . Overall The wireless controllers is great imo. The save feature is great too . I enjoy this console, I wish they added some games like toe jam and earl and X-men but I’m loving the Sonics, mk 123 and golden axe 123 .

Seems like nobody could just go all out and make a quality and complete plug n play system, they way it should be.

I had the Sega Channel when it very first came out, it was in my first apartment. The local cable company called me and asked if I'd like to star in a local video promoting it! - so I'd be in a commercial for the Sega Channel - what an amazing opportunity!

I said hell no, I'd like to get laid again - those were my exact words.

I found out some reproductions do work some do not. Same goes to the actual real games some of those work and some of them do not either. But they have that cartridge slot but it's kind of iffy whether it works or not. I also found out an interesting fact if you're using an official licensed 6 button wired controller your mode button is actually the menu button. The only thing you can't do with the real controllers is the rewind feature

I have to wonder if the developers/manufacturers even bother to test these things before mass-producing them. They keep releasing these plug-in consoles/collections with blindingly obvious errors in emulation. If dirt-cheap Raspberry Pi hardware is powerful enough to host reasonably accurate console emulators, there's really no excuse for this.

thanks for the review man! To me, the point of offering a finished product is in its testing. If the games that are loaded onto the system don't properly play, than it's not that much better than the emulation software I can get for free. 1

The one i got is different, every game works perfect, it has a fake volume switch, no at games sticker, operating system looks different. Theres some slow down sometimes, and sometimes theres popping in the audio but it always seems to go away. I havent had it long enough to say if it will stay this way.

My Genesis HD has been flawless! I haven't experienced any of the freezing up and random controller issues like you. Maybe I got a good one?

I think AtGames did a nice job on these and I love the fact it has a cartridge reader to play your original games, I wish Nintendo did that.

Where does the red wire go? The one next to the data connection. Mine got disconnected and I don't know where it goes.

Could that red receiver wire for the wireless be hindering the game functions. Saw a video where it was pulled away from the circuit board and tapped down pointed away to fix freezing issues.

It might be possible to replace the OS for one with better emulation.
