Why all the hate? I thought us MSTies stuck together. I'm proud of being a MSTie because our fandom has no problems. Well, the biggest problem was the Joel vs Mike thing but even that wasn't a big deal. Now, I keep hearing all this negativity and ill will toward the new stars. I'm loving this entire cast and I can't wait to see the new show. It's like people who complain about remakes ruining the original film. The original film is still there for you to enjoy. For those of us who wants to see new MST3K with Felicia, Jonah, and the rest, let us enjoy this and let them do their thing. Besides, I don't get why everyone hates Felicia Day. She's awesome, funny, and I think has great chemistry with everyone involved, seeing as all of them (from what I've read) are friends in real life. So everyone chill out and tell yourself, it's just a refresh, you really should relax.

I know a lot of people are uneasy about the new cast and all that... Personally, I say bring it on! Gotta embrace the change.
You know, unless it's the Star Wars Special Editions. (Solo shot first!) But even then, you gotta go in with an open mind.

This show was a huge part of my childhood and still brings me joy today. My uncle turned me onto it when I was only 10ish and I've loved it ever since. I can't wait for more.

For how much I love MST3K and how important that an Cinematic Titanic were during the lowest point in my life to keep me from losing my mind believe it or not, this is NOT what I was hoping for at all. These guys are not 90 years old and unable to play their roles...they can still do it so getting a new cast is completely killing my excitement for the project.
I am going back to watching all old episodes again..bummer :/

I think I get it. I think I can grasp what it's gonna be like. And I like it. Look folks, this is a brand new program. It's not a reboot (despise that term) or a remake. Luckily I don't know any of these actors. But this time Joel is in charge, not Jim "ruin everything" Mallon.

Plus, all the writers are gonna come back. [Mike was always best at doing character cameos rather than host, sorry haters.] So far I'm going with the flow, and I'm liking it.

One possible scenario: Jonah and Felicity will have this weird love/hate 'relationship'. Jonah (nerd) is shy and bright, and trapped in space by her. Kinga Forrester is mad and driven, and abrupt to changing her plans if Jonah doesn't give her proper regards, while he always winds up saying the wrong thing. The bots will egg it all on by being the child-like, trouble-makers they are.

(It's not anti-female crap!) Like father/like daughter, she is a "mad", as in scientist. And, beautiful, which makes me want to watch already. She's captured her character well already.

It's years later, so we've seen the new show. Personally: I thought it was good! I'd say it was 80% as good as the old shows. It did feel like there were some growing pains, but it's a brand new show and cast. I've watched the Netflix shows many times each and enjoyed them. Netflix really (like REALLY) disappointed me by canceling it so soon. I felt like MST3K got a raw deal.
