10 black pepper peas
a little olive oil

3 garlic cloves
a bunch of dill

Borscht is Ukrainian. Period.
For years, russia has tried to claim borscht as its own. Here's why that narrative is false:

🔹 Borscht originated in Ukrainian villages, not in russian kitchens.
🔹 The USSR spread borscht across the union to erase Ukrainian identity – not to celebrate it.
🔹 Just because russians eat it doesn’t mean they invented it. That’s like saying pizza is American.
🔹 Regional versions of borscht in southern russia exist because of Ukrainian settlers – not because of russian culinary traditions.
🔹 And most importantly: UNESCO officially recognized borscht as part of Ukraine’s intangible cultural heritage.

👉 Culture isn’t something you can steal.
Borscht is Ukrainian. The world knows it.

My grandma used 2 make borscht...she w was from Russia...what part..dont know...but back in her time there....🇺🇦 was part of 🇷🇺 ....so either name is ok 4 me✌️✌️
