While taking photos for the school paper, Peter (Tobey Maguire) is bitten by a mysterious spider.

Average teenager Peter Parker is transformed into an extraordinary super hero after he is accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider. When you distinctly hear the scientist explaining how they created the “Super-Spiders, ” there is no mention of radiation or radioactivity like in the Spider-Man comics. It is similar to the Ultimate Spider-Man storyline where a Teen Peter got bit by a genetically engineered spider instead of a radioactive one.

Yet, how did Tobey McGuire get organic webbing while Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield did not since they all have been bitten by genetically engineered spiders?
