Thank you Ben & Erin for repurposing things whenever possible, instead of just sending everything to the dump. One person's unwanted (but still usable) items can fill another person's needs.

Erin’s designs are incredible and Ben’s carpentry is unparalleled!

Yeah, they're reusing cabinets instead of demoing them! Awesome!

The first house was stunning. Love to see it if you do it later for someone else. Love your show!

When bidding on closed bids, depending on stipulations if you want to bid and have a chance to win add $1 to $99 over the bid and you may win just by not doing and even amount, this is how we won a bid for our house, we bid $40, 020 and beat the other bid by $20, little risk for big reward, we redid the house and lived there 7 happy years!

I prefer the 2nd house; the one she chose! It is more traditional which is a style I prefer, and it was a cheaper price, which she negotiated to even less! A fantastic choice, and marvelous updating! Gorgeous!!

I can tell you why people would love this show so much: The couple who host the show feel just like middle America. Sure there is their accent. But they carry the air of a middle America family couple that was raised on middle America/rural entertainment and PBS kids shows. They are so relatable to the HUGE swath that is middle America instead of such narrow slivers that are the West and East Coast (California, New York, you know what I’m talking about).
You get middle America and you get a large amount of consistent viewers who will love your show for a long time.

Personally, I would have picked the first house and property, it had so much more going for it, location, better entertaining area and the pool was gorgeous. However, I'm happy your producer seems very pleased with her choice. May she find many years of joy in her new home.

I would have chosen the same one. I guess I am just a history buff, but when I saw the stained glass transoms I fell in love!

Classy. It had kind of a Charleston vibe out back.

Love the color and interior changes. The fountains for the pool is a really nice extra.

I liked the first house way better, it had a lot more privacy. I was cringing at the idea of painting it white though, because it looked so good with the landscape as brown. I think the sunny office room is what sold it for her.

Did i miss the *type* of wood they were looking over, under them house?? They kept talking about how indestructable the joists were, but i didn't hear what kind of wood it was! I wanna know! lol

Amazing but we didn't see the kitchen :(

Why didn't we get to see the kitchen? I was wondering about the backsplash and if Ben was right about it looking a bit wonky.
