I remember having a spell. The emotion felt too intense to express. My parents reacted anxious and started yelling that I had to breath. Pulling my arms up. Very understandable, they were panicing. But I think giving me space was the best thing they could have done. So maybe there is also another side or explanation for the spells.

My grandson is 2 months and is doing this. He has them about every week but since he was born (the day in the hospital) he would literally stop breathing while crying. He just got his shots, turned blue, and fell over. At this age I don't see how it is behavioral at all.

We have breath holding spells after the child hits his head. They determined it was crying spell and not epilepsy. So, not always behavioral

My son is 2 months old and he have this problem now, but not during crying. He lost the breath and his face going a blue. He is now in hospital, they do more examinations but everything is good. Doctors don't know what can be that. Did you know maybe?
