Ali is the truth man. Sure he said and did some out there things but he spoke a lot of truth. One of the most smartest boxers of his time.

Stop comparing Floyd to Ali. Floyd may have a similar mentality of haters bringing revenue, however Ali did it with class. Ali's trash talk was classy, and he backed up every word and never ran from fights. He fought every prime boxer there was. Some people can argue he ran from fights, but id say he beat just about everyone that was ever disputed to be better than him. Floyd runs from fighters. Ran from paq till he was old and out of his prime, ran from GGG, etc. He beat a lot of steller boxers, and I respect his skill. People who say he "dances" too much in the ring are idiots, thats boxing. However, he does run outside the ring. Just look at the Floyd VS McGregor, that was an absolute random set fight purely for revenue instead of going out of his career fighting real boxers. Anyway that was my rant. RIP Ali, the greatest.

Ali got a lot of his trash talk style from watching Gorgeous George.

I believe Ali's point is that "trash talk" sells! Heck, he is correct. It is unfortunate that sometimes his trash talk went too far. RIP Champ!

People don't realize how much Ali was hated during his time... he was the only boxer in his era to understand and capatli$e on America and general society's deep hate for the black man (or fascination depending on your view). Therefore as well as being dominant, Ali capatli$ed by trash talking, being cocky, loud, outspoken, and constantly reminding everyone that he's the greatest and that no one can whoop him. This angered and discomforted many, and consequently Ali generated the most hype and made the most money compared to any boxer during his time. Remind you of anyone else right now?... Anyway now that Ali's in a wheelchair and no longer considered a 'threat', america loves him now smh --__-- . It's pathetic. That's why Floyd Mayweather's accomplishments inside of the ring as well as out$ide it, along with his ability to stay extremely smart makes him one of the biggest success stories in boxing! Floyd represents justice for all the other fellow black all time greats who eventually got destroyed by this sick, twisted country by either getting villainized by the media and fans, robbed by judges and promoters, intentionally thrown into jail for long sentences during their careers, getting screwed over by their own country, forced to fight beyond their primes for money etc... ultimately leaving them with almost nothing, not even their health.

I would like to point out a few of the one major differences between how Muhammad and Floyd made their fortunes. Muhammad made his real money after the general public fell in love with him. Early in his career (before his enforced layoff) some people did turn out to watch him fight hoping he would lose. However, those numbers were relatively small potatoes compared with the BIG money he made during his comeback when millions upon millions worldwide turned out because they finally realized how much they loved the guy and what a treasure he was. That was when Muhammad made his real money; when the vast majority of the paying customers desperately wanted to see him win. Floyd, on the other hand, made a lot of money, but the vast majority of people paid their money desperately hoping he would lose. Personally, he never made a penny from me because his fights were so BORING and, unlike Muhammad, rarely (I almost used the word "never") took on a true challenge from a capable opponent in their prime. Then, when he did "fight, " he never mixed it up or created any real excitement. Yes, he is somewhat gifted defensively, but had he fought, for instance, in the 50's or 60s; he would have had a tough time even cracking the top ten. I think his Old Man (the one whom he shows such disrespect) might have even pushed him a bit, as well, and let's not even talk about Sugar Ray Leonard.. I admit his marketing was effective. He made a lot of money, but mostly that is because of inflation and the rise of cable television. Floyd, if he stands for anything, stands for Greed. I teach middle school and high school in a black neighborhood, and the kids there hardly know who he is. None of them express any passion about him or "love" him the way they love, for instance, Steph Curry. Floyd represents the very worst of capitalism while Muhammad represents the very best of humanity.
