F. Chopin : Prelude op. 28 no. 3 in G major (Kissin)

The russian pianist Evgeny Kissin performs Chopin's third prelude op. 28 in G major.
"Thou Art So Like a Flower" is marked vivace, and has a running semiquaver bass part throughout.

G major always reminds me of sun, and this prelude is so bright and nice, and the left hand is very hard to master (to play even). Amazing Evgeny Kissin as always..

Reminds me of Van Halen’s Eruption. This is one Chopin’s most interesting shortest pieces because it seems to have been overlooked at the time but this musical style is what you can hear in video games and modern music.

The only thing I dont like about the peice is that it's way too short. Its brill of course.

It was written VIVACE, which means a lively and brisk manner. Some give the metronome mark at 144 or 72 per minim beat

I love the harmonies in this piece but the left hand was alway beyond my skill level so I reduced it to a simple ostinato with a few changes in the right hand and call it the Chopin Shuffle.  I've posted it on Youtube if you're curious.

This is a level 5 but I would consider this an advance 6 taking into account the velocity of this piece. The finger assignments for the left hand is tricky and not easy to play at this speed for sure.
