About the absolute strength. Yes, the person lifting 500 may lift more on the bar, but let's say we put a scale beneath him and see how much force he is producing. It might only go up to 720lbs, which is just 20 more than he's lifting. At the same time, the one lifting 300 lbs could potentially get the scale up to 800lbs, which is much higher. It's not so simple.

Also, when performing the heavy compound movement eg back squat, would you contrast that with a ploymetric or would you perform the Plyos first and then once done all the plyo sets move into the compound movement sets?

I do athletics and I've always wanted to see ways how I could improve my speed and strength for running and similar activities and this channel is amazing at doing just that! Awesome video! Love all the well-explained complex terminology and example videos and perfect concise delivery. Definitely will implement this into my gym training. Also, what makes a hex bar deadlift a preferred option to the deadlift btw? This is great because I do not like deadlifts.

for the progressive overload do we have to up the weight or keep it the same through the firdt 4 weeks?? and when we cut it in half in week 4 how many reps should we do?
