Star Trek is part of my life. TNG is the best imo, TOS of course, the movies until Insurrection, maybe including Nemesis. I always liked DSN, the connectivity with the Star Trek before, I almost fell in love with VOY, got better with every year. Then came PICARD. Season 1-2 was hard, almost impossible to watch. Season 3 was so much better, and the finale was gorgeous 🙏🏼. It was a tribute to a legend.

I'm a star trek fan since I was 7 years old. I love all the "classic" movies and shows, especially TNG. I think Jean Luc Picard was one major influence that led me to study philosophy. I also love Strange new worlds, lower decks and Picard S3 and even find some enjoyment in the melancholic mood of Picard s1 and some episodes of discovery.

That said... this is the first "star trek" project I feel nothing about. Nothing on this trailer is in any way interesting. It's not star trek, it's just generic boring sci-fi that tries to be a marvel movie. If star trek wouldn't be in the name, nobody would be interested.

Oh, and it's a shame that the time and potential of talented actors and artists who worked on this movie is wasted for something like this.

Why do you give such projects to creators who obiously haven't the least bit of sentiment towards the essence of Star Trek? I don't want to discourage your creativity. But putting a Star Trek label on "pew pew" and fancy costumes just alienates franchise fans. I guess after Discovery and most of Picard the damage is already done. And who cares anyway, right?
