Designers will show how to use the new color systems, typographic strategies, and the underlying grids that hold it together. They will show how imagery and the new framework material rendering can make apps more interesting and communicate more quickly.

Google, your Designers made an awesome work. I'm glad with Material. Only one thing, you have a massive influence in the mainstream Design and Graphic Design: please delivery the content in a best way. Dear Designers, I know how difficult is to talk in public, but take the example of the Rachel Been, that managed everything in the best way. Presenting this specific contents require some preparation. Another point, if you're presenting some content to a specific target (the most in that room where developers) you need to be prepared to answer their questions. You can't provide "maybes" and don't answer the questions because you don't know what you're talking about. Scuse me but most time of the "questions" section was very embarrassing.

they put a shadow alright but the object didn't scale. The object without the shadow has the same size as the object with shadow

Typical Google adding features and not using them in their own apps. The design looks good but I hope they correctly implement there apps properly adding expandable notifications where its due and transparency where its due.
