Hi Dave: I was diagnosed with breast cancer 16 years ago, and after having surgery and chemo, I was able to make a full recovery. It helped enormously that my husband and children were by my side every step of the way, and I know that your support will help your wife tremendously. It may seem overwhelming at the moment, but things will fall into place. Once I had my direction, I just did what I had to do, and it bought me all these wonderful years since. Dave, I am a physician myself, and also a breast cancer survivor (2016). Even though mine was early stage, the news was nevertheless devastating. Please hang in there; you seem to be doing all the right things in carefully researching and prioritizing this. I have great faith in medical science and hopefully your wife, and therefore all of you, will emerge favorably on the other side of this diagnosis and treatment. My advice is to follow through with expert recommendations on the treatment/s and to keep looking up. Much love to all of you, esp your wife and adorable kids. Please keep us updated. Stay strong!
