'Pick of the Day' - 1965 Fender Stratocaster and 1967 Deluxe Reverb

Today we have another excellent Strat, one of the cleanest 1965's you could ask for! A transitional era guitar, this instrument is totally original outside of the upgraded 5-position pickup selector (though the original 3-position is included in the case). We hooked it up to an incredible 1967 Deluxe Reverb, and put them both into the hands of our friend Aaron Hiebert for the demo section of the video!

There is nothing quite like the sound of a fender going into a fender. It can sound delicate and chimey or raunchy and passionate. Leo Fender was a genius of epic scale for making guitars that were durable and meant for road use. If you broke a neck all you had to do was get another neck shipped to you whereas everyone else you had to send your guitar in to the factory or have a local luthier fix it at an astronomical price. Leo made great guitars with great character and it’s like they say “you can make a fender sound like a les Paul but you can’t make a les Paul sound like a fender” just an amazing sounding guitar!

Time capsule...that looks almost like a new reissue 65...that’s how clean it looks...very nice..👍👍👍..the red in sunburst..still pops..dark Brazilian board...

Beautiful but the neck seems higher on the treble side at the neck heel. Even the saddles follow that pattern. Is that common to this era? I'm curious because it's not the first time I see that (last time was a 63’). Anyone knows anything about that?
