FFXVI『Ifrit Vs Phoenix』 Epic BGM

Ifrit (イフリート, Ifurīto), also called Jinn and Iflyte, is a recurring Fire-elemental summon in the Final Fantasy series. His signature attack is Hellfire, sometimes called Inferno or Flames of Hell, that deals Fire-elemental damage to all opponents. He is one of the most frequently appearing summons and is often a rival to the ice summon, Shiva.

Like most recurring summons, Ifrit's appearance is different in each game, but remains somewhat similar. He has become increasingly beast-like and less demonic-looking as the series evolved; the shift started in Final Fantasy VIII. In general, Ifrit has brown skin, has long horns and claws, and is covered by a simple kilt-like covering around his waist.

It's a common trope for the protagonist to rise above their own self doubts in moments of conflict, but the way they play this out with Joshua is perfect. In just the span of the prologue he goes from a sympathetic victim of circumstance into a younger sibling you're proud of and cheering on.

Joshua might’ve thought himself unworthy, powerless, to seldom over his kingdom yet it wasn’t the fact that he was phoenix but the fact that through the entire battle he was scared, afraid even to fight the thing that climbed towards him.. yet thought about his peoples safety, all while being so young, stoping from running and actually attacking Ifrit, the monster crawling towards him, 2:54 that was so f*cking epic!!!
