Okay this might be a bit controversial, but I think I possibly like FFXVI more than FF7R. FFXVI gave us something completely new, and it feels more contemporary. I’m doing my second play through right now. The cutscenes are less cheesy, and the game is filled with violence and death. Then throw this soundtrack on top of it…It’s an amazing game!

I love how Odin's battle isn't pure spectacle like Titan and Bahamut, it's just two mortal rivals putting their souls and ideologies on the line, and how they both win and lose in the end is great.

Also, The Riddle reminds me of FF Tactics and Cecil's theme from FFIV.

Titan Lost fight then Heart of Stone dropping while the eikons were falling in titan losts husk went so fucking hard 🔥🔥🔥. Might have to be my favorite moment.

...but bahamut constant level up of the flare attacks into zetta vs ifrit risen!!!

...but barnabas joyously losing his shit as you fight him.

I would have loved to hear what a proper boss theme for Shiva and Ramuh sounded like, but alas. Also, perhaps you should have included Omega’s theme since it’s essentially an “artificial” Eikon?

I don't know why, but Odin and Leviathan are my favourite summons. Especially Leviathan.

They used that specific Shiva theme one single time at the start and that was it. Tragic. At least the leitmotif carried forward.
