This is entirely from watching people stream the new patch but I mostly agree.

Looting and personal item terminals look super clunky and a pain to use. Using the terminal (or box) proximity like the old system sounds a lot more user friendly than putting stuff into the machine first as an extra step.

Small cargo missions look fun to load since the ships are small and so are the loads. But when we get to large ships, it looks like a huge pain juggling boxes into the deep cargo holds even with the 32 SCU boxes.

And the personal hangar accessibility serves no one. First of all, everyone should have a safe space to prepare and whatnot. Second, the short time is only good for sending the hangar owner back to the hospital and only serves to waste the time of that player.

Oh look, the community came up with 10 better ideas than the devs who have been working on this for years.

Star Citizen 3.24's looting system is a masterpiece! It's almost like they wanted to bring back the nostalgic feeling of rummaging through a cluttered attic, except now it's in space. I mean, who needs a functional inventory. 😅

.24 already sounds like a nightmare, think I'll log in, screw around a bit in the hangar, quit as soon as I get bored and tap out til 4.0

I'm ready to uninstall if that tells you anything.
It's unplayable.
You can't get out of the hangar. Call a ship, load the ship or take a contract, siy in queue to leave for as long as you can stand it before logging off. Trying to get a person on the phone from the IRS because they lost your tax return is less frustrating

Cig going the elite route of replacing fun with tedium.

Star Citizen needs to figure out what it wants to do with UI and looting and make it work well. Currently, like the process of manipulating items with the gravity beam it feels very cumbersome yet also tracked on like it isn't part of the game, and like it takes too many clicks to get anything done. Beyond that, I like your ideas about the separate vehicle loading bay as the current design of not being able to bring a vehicle up after a ship is just a silly design.

hello berks. its me from your stream yesterday. i have finally managed to sort out the crashing. the best thing to do is go to %appdata% then head to local/ star citizen/ head to any folder that starts with dc then change the number from 0 to 1. that worked for me

the new inventory system is just tedious for no reason, like im fine with going away from the 30km magic radius to access it, and having a access point you need to go too to access the inventory of a area makes sense, but i feel the inventory and the looting has taken a backwards step instead of a forward step, and the drawer at the item bank could be repurposed for sharing space for your party if someone needs something
the cargo changes seem to be a good step forward , the hangers too seem to be ok, but your right berks those side rooms should be something the player should be able to use to store things, like vehicles, flair items ETC .and i dont like the magic teleport for trespassers it goes against CIG stance of "how are you going to protect your stuff?" either let it happen or just have non party memember just not move with the elevator at all

Glad I’m not the only one who was thinking promoting the new looting screen. Great takes.

We have transporters to move intruders out of our hangars, but not to get around ourselves. Ya know, because ‘realism’.

We we need a small office over looking the ships

I really wish they would keep the old terminal style of selling cargo off your ship but also keep the new style. Only difference being that you’d have the best of both worlds and if they wanted to there could be a fee for having a “crew” move it for you in a quicker amount of time than it’d take you to remove it

The new system for equipping gear is tedious, but it's probably temporary while they work out the bugs. I do like the idea of having a full kit that we can purchase instead of buying each item individually. It would also be great if we had locker rooms in our hangers that could hold exactly the same amount of gear we can carry personally, then click 1 button to swap everything we are currently wearing. As for the hangars themselves I'm not a fan of throwing furniture around in those dimly lit corners and side areas. We should have a mezzanine level specifically built as a living area, and I want that control room back. And I agree, they could delete all of those props we can't move to give us more room for our stuff.

5:00 As with most ideas people come up with, the ground vehicle was already planned and even already shown.

It was intended for 3.23 but got specifically delayed. They communicated about it, friend. You just missed it or forgot.

Also, simpods were already sold to people back on the day I think, and are perhaps still atttributed to their accounts. There are definitely simpods in the Microtech Store too.

Side note on you having to grab things one by one and put into a box; throw everything on the floor. Once they're on the floor, you can directly drag and drop into the box. Been that way since the boxes came into the game.
