I'm so proud of you Kim. I just paid off a couple of my credit cards in the last week and it feels so good. And like other people are saying in the comments the money you were paying towards your credit cards will now go to savings and your savings will grow much faster.

This was so real and I’m excited for you.. when I say I resonate with you girl, I had cc debt opened a personal loan for $5k more than what I needed just to add it back to my account and eventually paid an additional $2k on it because of interest, we do dumb things when we don’t know better but now we both on this journey and it’s great to close this chapter

This is so exciting!!! So happy for you! I am fighting paying off my student loan. I used the payment pause to go from 73k to 19k. I want to pay the balance with our savings but I just cannot do it. I’m going to keep plugging away until Dec. and hopefully I can get up the nerve to pay that lump sum by 12/31. That will just leave our mortgage.

congrats! you're inspiring me to do the same.
I've been trying to fear nothing but God, so I shouldnt fear paying my debt off with a big sum.
I think I'm going to do it next paycheck.
after all, "faith without works is dead"

thank you Kim

I love your videos. I totally feel the getting anxious about depleting savings. But that mentality is what causes us to have high credit card balances. I’ve recently started to shift my mentality to realizing that even if I have money in savings but I have credit card debt, that money I have in savings isn’t really mine. Because I owe that money for things I bought in the past and a lot of times for things I don’t even have anymore.

This is such a wonderful step in your financial journey. You will surpass the 20k by end of the year... Starting with 14k is amazing 🎉. Enjoyed hanging out with you lovely 😊

Idea: Underconsumption is a trend right now.
Maybe do some content around that, it will fit into the frugal life direction! 😄

Kim, I am so upset. I am not getting your notifications for a new video. Ugh. This is awesome, congratulations! I am so proud of you for just doing it and getting rid of that cards. Can you do a follow-up video on why you had so many fears and how you feel now that they are gone. Thank you.

I like your personality and your channel. Congrats on paying that much off. I think that you made a great decision. Debt keeps you stuck, so now that you are free, you'll be saving more money than the debt you just paid off. There's nothing holding you behind now. Great job 👏🏾
