Показать описание
In this video, I share 5 fresh tips to help you crush your planning experience, in turn taking your wedding celebrations to a completely new level.
Everyone does wedding planning differently, but planning is one of the most important parts of the wedding experience, and if you are lacking energy, or seeing the results you maybe thought were possible, your planning process may need more time and energy.
I felt it would or could help you if I shared some things that you need to make sure you pay attention to with regards to wedding planning and positioning.
In this video, I share some candid thoughts of things I see so many DJs doing wrong, so I share the issue and offer some thought on things you can do to fix them.
Chapters:
0:00 - Introductions
0:00 - Getting into it
1. Make sure your pronouns for everything wedding is gender-neutral. Obviously, if it is a bride or groom or sets of either, it is ok to use that title, but everything else in your wedding documentation and language should be gender-neutral. I mainly work in the wedding space and it is surprising how many people still use the term bridal show and not wedding show …. If a couple says this is my BM, or GM, fantastic, use the terms, but as a whole, make sure your planning documents and your website are gender-neutral.
2. Another area is asking about the family dynamic. Are parents together, separated, if so are they remarried or dating, are they conversational and cool or are there issues. If they are married or not, make sure you ask about their wedding song, and that will give you another song to try to include at some point of the celebration or not.
3. Avoid all descriptives when dealing with a couple. Never ever ever ever call a bride sweetie, Hunny etc , or anything like that, never call a groom, boss, chief or anything like that, It may sound 101 to someone, but I kid you not I have seen experienced MCs or DJs do this and that is the stuff that will make most people cringe.
4. Spend more time on pronunciations… all members of the wedding party.
5. Ask the couple for their Instagram, and follow them. Not in a creepy stalker kinda way, but over the time planning the wedding you can check out some of their content This should give you some insight into the general world if they use the platform and most couples do. ( as a bonus, ask for the wedding party handle info so you can tag away after the fact in the event you are crushing media at the celebration)
