Recently got myself a 2TB SSD INTERNAL drive with an external housing (because it's cheaper than a portable SSD) but haven't been able to use it.

thank yo so much. I bought a new external harddrive yesterday so i can clone my ssd on to it and then clone it to my new ssd since i don't have an ssd enclosure. I did everything successfully but I couldn't figure out how to clear the harddrive so i can use it to store my other files. I'm glad i came across this. thank you so much

For a HDD with some files on it, they can be copied & removed. What is the correct type, MBR or GPT, if the HDD is to be reused as the C drive in a laptop? Thanks is it better to use a HDD that already has windows 7 on it (going into a different laptop), reformat it for reuse, set it up as MBR than the one with just files (FAT32 & ntfs style) ?
