Braces 101 – Most Common Braces Elastic Patterns

In this video I will briefly cover why you need elastics during your braces journey and then dive into the 7 most common patterns your orthodontist may have you wear. We will review triangle rubber bands, as well as elastics for open bite, overbite, overjet, underbite and more! There are obviously more elastic patterns that are different and that your orthodontist might have you wear but these are just some of the elastic patterns and reasons why he/she might ask for your help! Currently class 2 on the right. On the left side, I have an elastic connected to inner hook on my lower 4 connected to the outside up my upper 4 to correct cross bite.
