Just Incase anyone didn’t know, canon released a updated for the the 90D that will allow you to shoot at 24fps at 4K

I shoot on an 80D, and the lack of 24p video will keep me from upgrading to the 90d.

So i guess people do not know that they can just create a 24p timeline in editing software even if they shoot 30p and still get pretty much the same 24p result. Also people DO NOT understand that 24p is primarily made for film and cinema and half the vloggers complain so much about this yet their content falls very well between 30p and 60p (Documentary, sitcom, advert frame rates etc). I feel like a lot of people want to be idiot proofed in every single way and still complain about it. My only folly is why in 2019 did canon decide to make a dslr with no remarkable features at all. I dont get that at all.

Now, near the end of 2019 Canon has acquiesced and given an update that includes 24p...I loathe what this company does. In the long run it's a losing strategy. But their color blows me away.
I have a set of Falcon Eyes studio lights. I set them to 5600k, set the 90d to 5600k, shot a few clips in 24p, testing the audio as well with my Sennheiser lavalier mic----and the color was spot on---I didn't have to touch or tweak the color at all. I isolated the vectors and they were spot on--perfect. The sound was lovely and clean as a whistle---almost no adjustments needed out of camera. And the DPAF and eye auto---flawless.
No. you're not going to shoot the new King Kong movie with it---but if you want a great youtube camera---and more---where you don't have to spend absurd amounts of time getting color/ sound/ exposure, searching for the right LUT, etc all in post, if you just want to put out great looking and great sounding, rock-solid, dependable video for YouTube and other things--this is the camera.

Not enough to bother updating from the 80D ...That would require some kind of log and 24fps....I do applaud the 120fps, though. That almost tips the balance to BUY.

Great videos and Good to watch. We do love to knock canon a bit though. No innovation? Well it’s 32 megapixels, has dual pixel af in 4K, floppy screen, 10 FPS, and will no doubt be very stable and reliable. I can’t always say that about some other makes

Great content as always. I have the Canon 60D, 70D and 80D (wifey owns the 60 and 80) as well as the Sony A7iii. Love all the cameras but definitely love my Sony A7iii. I have a soft spot for Canon but do acknowledge the crippling mentality they have which frustrates and disappoints me alot. Was really hoping this 90D would be a game changer, but alas, the lack of 24p is a weird move and as such, will stick with my great Sony as well as my 70D. (And borrow my wife's 80D if I need the 1080 at 60 fps).

Without a proper HANDs ON REVIEW of the 90D it's hard to see how its footage will hold up to some minor post production grading...I would like to use it as a B camera with my C100 mk2 for interviews (I don't need 4k for interviews-too many wrinkles!) but I wonder if it would be a good choice...is the lack of 24fps a deal breaker? I would like its 1080p footage to look sharper and more solid than my old 70D (I know it won't look like my C100 mk2-that's a solid camera for 1080p). I got a Sony a6400 and it's a great camera but I would prefer to use my Canon glass...someone pls get a final release of the 90D and test it extensively. I hope the footage in 1080p looks awesome. BETTER than the 70D and 80D....thanks

Is there a recording limit? Otherwise it would be a nice B-Camera to sit on a Tripod during a wedding ceremony for example. And of course if it doesn't overheat in 4k.
I normally use an a6300, but this one can only record so long in 4k before it overheats. ^^'
