The all new Canon 90D features a large 32.5 MP APS-C CMOS Sensor, high-speed continuous shooting of up to 10 fps and a 45-point all cross-type autofocus system. In terms of video, it offers 4K 30fps video recording, the usual 1080p options, and 120 fps in Full HD.

This camera has some great stills photography specs for the money, but you wouldn't know it reading the comments. Everyone gripes about what it lacks in 4K video, then chimes in that they'll stick with their camera that already cost twice as much as the 90D will go for. Brilliant! Totally not hard at all to sift through the comments to weed out the Canon haters that look for every opportunity to bash Canon and just ignore them.
Now, having a 70D, and 3 nice Canon lenses, the 90D makes a really substantial jump in stills technology that I didn't see in the 80D. It's a tougher call whether the 90D is worth upgrading from the 80D, but it was an easy call for me to not upgrade to the 80D from the 70D, so this is the time. Getting this upgrade without having to re-invest in (key word) quality lens glass makes the 90D a winner for me and lots of other Canon owners looking to upgrade. And please, who here really believes Sony makes as good a lens as Canon? "crickets chirping" Please, don't even try. LOL

I have bought 20d, 30d, 10d, 40d, 50d, missed the 60d but bought the 70d. I currently use the 80d. I never buy new. I pick up used after they have been out for 2 to 3 years. A lot of the upgrades, I don't need of care about. My 80ds are giving me about 22 mg files I already have storage issues. I was told that the 90d did not have stabilization in the body.. If Canon wants to get my attention, give me better low light resolution, image stabilization in the camera body and improved auto white balance and highlight/shadow resolution. Good, informative vid. 7:03 The 90D footage looks so much worse than the footage of the camera that you use to shoot the review with. What camera is that?

I’m a stills photographer so video capabilities don’t bother me. Currently I have a Canon FF camera, but I’m finding it heavier and heavier to carry around (I’m retired), so I’m looking for something lighter. This looks great - as long as my APS-C lenses can perform well enough for that hi-resolution sensor. But on paper this looks a good switch for my 5DIV because the whole system (camera + lens) will be lighter, and a huge upgrade from my current APS-C camera (750D). I especially like the resolution; the weather sealing; the joystick; and the fold-out screen. I’m also very pleased that Canon have given us one more ‘traditional’ DSLR rather than concentrating solely on mirrorless. I think I am likely to buy one, and also that it might be my last new camera.

Best camera, but just add more like clog, 4k/24p, autofocus on 120p and improve eye detection focus, it will be better

Does it track subjects and have them more in focus than the 7D mark II ?

90D is a solid aps-c camera...the only thing to complain about is the timing... The bigger concern is that higher megapixel requires higher quality glass....and Canon seems to have abandoned ef-s glass. EF glass is fine, but costs more or weighs more than aps-c shooter wants. Canon seems to be signaling that they view the future as ef-m on the low end and RF on the high end....which does reduce the future resale value of this camera.

What do you think, is this camera also an upgrade for the 7D Mark II for shooting sportfotografie? And how does this one perform in low light situations with high ISO?

I'm shooting indoors and outdoor sports and now using the 5D Mark II, but missing the FPS and the focus a bit.
