JBL TUNE120tws earbud not charging (how to - possible fix)

This video shows some tips and tricks on how to get your JBL TUNE120tws wireless bluetooth earbuds working again.
A lot of people report that the earbuds stopped charging and they do not know of a way to get them to work again. One viewer reported that the tips shown in this video have worked for him. Now his earbuds are able to charge with no problem again.
These tips may not work for everybody, but I think it is worth a try, which is why I created this video, to share the knowledge.

This video actually helped me troubleshoot a set of wireless earbuds from another manufacturer. I received my earbuds brand new but found the batteries were draining until they stopped working completely. I was actually going to return them but after watching your video it helped me to realize the manufacturer added a very small film of light blue plastic over the contacts in the ear buds as I took a closer look at the earbud contacts. Removing this fixed my problem. Your video helped me realize that the pins had to contact something metallic on the earbuds. The piece of film over the contacts was so small that I thought it was part of the design. Thank you so much.

I have JBL tuneflex and I really love how comfortable they are and the quality of the audio they provide. But honestly this recurring problem made me regret buying them and I am honestly going to think not once, not twice, but thrice before purchasing any JBL product again. The design is so bad that both my friend and I happened to face the same problem within 3 weeks of purchasing them. Thanks for the video :)

I just got mine yesterday and the chargingcase led’s blink (all three of them) and when I put my earbuds in there for 2 hours they’re still low in battery, PLEASE HELP😢

This totally worked!! Pulled on the pins with tweezers and it started to work.

Only One side of mine was charging. I checked and couldn’t depress the centre pin. I cleaned with tissue and then depressed easily. Now both sides are working. It was a build of of grime or earwax or god knows what. Thank you 🙏 😊

Oh my gerd! The pulling on the pins worked! I was so worried I'd have to buy another pair and that's just not in the budget right now. It's been difficult for Zoom meetings with only the right working. Was giving me headaches. Thanks!

You saved the day! Looks like the middle prong of the left earbud port had gotten stuck down. I had to use a nail clipper to grip it and pull it up, as tweezers just weren’t grabbing it tightly enough. Thank you! 🙏

Life saver. These ideas helped my JBL 225's. A littler harder to clean fue to a deeper charging hole but after a few rounds it worked!
