Here's our adventure of framing the interior walls in the new pole barn house.
We are not experienced and as such, made several mistakes but its all part of the process right?!
We also decided to eliminate a bedroom...

You guys are doing great! We really enjoyed watching your video and look forward to catching up on the rest. Love that you two are flexible about making changes- we are the same way. Gotta go with the flow when you are building yourself. Keep up the great work and it was nice to meet you at Homesteaders Of America!

I love how you made it clear, this is not a how to video this is how we did it. That’s awesome

thanks for the honesty, most youtubers edit out the not so flattering mistakes that are made. The house is awesome this is what I want to build now.

Great video. I love watching “real life” videos. I’m finishing my 48x48 pole barn as well. I hadn’t thought of the pressure treated bottom sill. Thanks for that! Good luck and I know you guys’ll love it!

Really liked this video. Especially the mistakes that I know I would have also made. Now I will be on the lookout for them. Very helpful.

Thanks for pointing all this out. I’m getting ready to finish an existing pole barn on our newly purchased property. Now I won’t make your mistakes. 😁

Beautiful view out the front!

Thank you sharing all your videos. I just wish there was a way they were all linked together so I could go from start to finish. Binge watch so to speak. Love all you’ve done

I actually went and spray painted my floorplan life sized on the ground to get a feel for exactly how things would be. STILL have not started building yet though. HONESTLY one of the main reasons we chose a pole barn, the house we live in currently almost EVERY wall is load bearing!! Good job, keep up the good work!!

My husband and I are going to be building a house soon on a lot of land we just purchased up in the mountains.. I have yet to see a pole barn home that I could see myself in, but yours is looking stunning so far and I'm looking forward to seeing your finished product. I love all of the doors and windows you have overlooking the gorgeous view!

Greta job! Even experts make mistakes, they just like to admit it as much! 😆

I believe they make an offset toilet flange that might help with your toilet problem if you have not already moved the wall, worth researching!!

Saw you over in the homesteaders of YT group and came to check out your channel, I’ll be back for more!!

I posted a similar video of framing walls in our barn (not for living in) this morning!! 😀

They're not mistakes, they're learning experiences !

Building the interior walls first, turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Opening up that space will feel so much better, even if you did do this last year. :D

Love your attitude. Hey mistakes happen. Learn from them and carry on. Hey keep your fingers 3" from where you are nailing, nails tend to bend when hitting a knot and come out the side to bite you. (Experience) Walls can be built in place. Toe nail the bottoms (Use galvanized nails in pressure treated wood) and nail top plate normally. Have fun, and if you want change, change ! Have a great time.

1024 sq ft.? It certainly has made a huge difference raising the roof, it feels very spacious! Great job 👍

I noticed you have 6x6 posts in the middle of the slab. Was that preplanned for the layout you wanted? It's typically just the outside of the pole barn that has the 6x6 posts, correct?
