This is really well done and the music makes it even scarier. Williams showed he could play it straight and scary in later movies, so he would've nailed a horror version of Doubtfire.

The book Madame Doubtfire, which is what Mrs.Doubtfire movie is based on. Feels kinda like a horror story, because it does end with the kids hating both their parents at the end of the book. Whereas in the movie this is never mentioned.

With all the kid friendly products being turned into horror or r rated e.g. Winnie the Pooh, The Grinch, The Banana Splits, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a horror remake of this.
