I didn't expect for this episode to make me sad 😭 gosh her husband was so sweet to her

the fact that my skin looks just like hers bc of eczema. the whole time I was like "plot twist: the monster is just eczema"😂 but that scene where the TV is asking if she's tired of people pointing and laughing... that actually made me cry. bc that's exactly how eczema is. it actually resonated with me so hard

I got literal CHILLS watching this — terrified yet mesmerised. This is literally our world, magnified with social media now. This is a work of art.

This episode was so disturbing and also heart wrenchingly sad. This was the first episode I watched so I didn’t know what to expect and I thought maybe it’d have a happy ending but nope haha. I genuinely thought Stacey was pretty and a super interesting person. I love taxidermy, and her sweetness also drew me in. I was horrified throughout her entire “transformation.” This film really says a lot about the societal standards for women, and in general the pain of not fitting in.

Love the weird quirkyness of this episode..Kate's performance kept me glued to the screen.

Really loved the ending, she was finally "beautiful" but she had lost her mind in the process. The thing is, it was only her hair, teeth, dress & make-up that were different, which she could have fixed without the aid of the lotion. Such a quirky and darkly hilarious episode, Kate Micucci was superb in it.

Moral of the story: Don’t sell yourself to fit in. I’d rather be the Stacy who was looking from the outside in her own normal world than fit in to a fake standard and fake friends.

She had a nice life, good loving husband, cozy house ect ect. This episode was beyond dark. Must be excruciating to be a woman and feel such pressure :( Kate did a marvellous job in this episode. Amazing!!!

After killing her husband, she killed herself via drowning in the bathtub. Everything we see afterwards is most likely a DMT induced dream (as you may know, as we live our last moments, the brain releases all the DMT and we have one last, vivid dream). She dreamed that it all worked out for her and she became "one of the gals". She died happy.
There was NOTHING paranormal about this episode. It was clearly established from the first few seconds that she was a paranoid schizofrenic (and there were other symptoms alluded to). The very embarrasing episode during the secret santa party just sent her in a downward spiral of delusions. She was really allergic to that damn cream though, she should've stopped but her delusions were reeling her in.
Consider the above!

Assuming everything after initially taking the lotion wasn't a hallucination, I feel bad for the husband. He accepted his wife for who she was and tried reassuring that she didn't need to change. Ended up stuffed anyways.

The message somewhat showcases the theory that women care more about what other women think of their appearance, rather than what men think.

The amount of people that saw the husband at the villain is astonishing.

This episode deserves an Oscar !
There are so many familiar things about it, (like visual references to many movies of the era) yet somehow tells a story so entirely new. Bravo
