Safety is our #1 concern, now lets stow those life jackets away. LOL

Did you just use the bimini top to keep the boat's position after you already had the spring line set?

lets see how you do in a stiff breeze - that was an example of almost perfect conditions!

If only the current and dock were like this docking would be simple with zero stress. This situation never exists in real life. It always seems to be current ripping, wind pushing away from the dock, trying to squeeze in between to boats with no extra room. Only advise I can give is keep practicing and never be afraid to do over. And never be afraid to ask for help and always offer help at the dock.

Dumb question but can you use forward and reverse as much as you want to or do you have to be very gentle with it?

Those short lines are a great way to insure that you hang your boat under low tide. Or wedge it under the dock.

Lot of shit head comments here Captain—I guess that’s the risk you take when trying to offer some FREE tips to keyboard know it alls.
Would love to see some tutorials on pulling into a tight slip with a single engine outboard.Thats been quite a pain in the arse for me for some time. Thanks Capt.

That a system alarm when starting the boat? Shouldn’t you wait till it switches off and rpm gauge go back to zero to start? Not sure just what I was told even though I have accidentally started it quite a few times with no ill effects

Perhaps my perspective is a little different because I own a jet boat. For example in "neutral" you have both no steering control and a slight reverse thrust. So not maintaining positive control at the helm with the engine running is a bad plan. The boat will back itself away

How to never ever leave a dock! NEVER release your lines from the dock and jump on a drifting boat and specially if you are single handed..

why dont you use the fenders ? i mean the dock wood could damage the paint of the boat?

Saftey is our number 1 concern....puts life jackets away and doesn't wear one💀💀💀

That turn would be so hard on my boat as the engine kicks up if i reverse at those speeds

Coast Guard requires that tossable cushion be out and available...should not be stowed
