She is absolutely overreacting and dramatizing the whole situation.
Nothing special here in Germany.

the reason why german cops usually are in chill n easy mode is they dont need to suspect to get shot at any corner.

Germany is in the middle of Europe. People with accents are normal like the sun during the day.

My dad once picked me up from the trainstation. He didn't pack his wallet for the short drive - and of course we ended up in a police control on the way back.

He couldn't show the driver license, as that was at home. Nor could he pay the fine for driving without license. Again, no wallet.
So he offered them a 1000 EUR (joke) bill with a naked female as motive as appology. He always had some of those in his car.

The police laughed and sent us off, telling him to drop me off and return with the wallet that they could properly check his papers and fine him for driving without papers.
And that's what he did. Paid them the 10 or 20 EUR after returning and everything was done.

I think I'm missing something. She was trying to pretend she's German? Did she think they could fool a native speaker? And what's the point anyway?

She needs to chill ♥️.

Imagine telling a story like that about your first time shopping at Wal-Mart. 🤷‍♂️

No idea what she was so nervous about, "oh no, I have an accent, oh no, I am a foreigner".

As long as it's not the grammar police, she should be fine 😂.

One of the the main differences especially Americans need to know: German police is allowed to stop any vehicle at all times, without any reason. Called "Allgemeine Verkehrskontrolle" - general traffic monitoring - they can check you and your car to see if you are fit to be on the road... papers, registrations, the technical condition of the car or the required safety equipment.

Wow! She was determined to milk absolutely every last bit of melodrama out of that story.

She is a bit of a drama queen it seems. Yes, they sometimes flag you down from traffic, but mostly they just make a photo and send the ticket through the mail. And how much it costs depends on how much you were over the limit. For serious speeding it can be some hundreds plus a temporary suspended licence even. Those "lottery tickets" they usually use for small offenses, like a broken light or jaywalking or such things.

It is a common misconception that you can drive as fast as you want on the German Autobahn. In fact, it is strictly forbidden to drive faster than 90% of the speed of light because this causes terrible space-time paradoxes, which the taxpayer then has to pay for.

If you get pulled over in Germany by a police car they will usually not pull up behind you and flash the lights/sound sirens but rather pull in before you and flash a sign which says "bitte folgen" - please follow. Then they will drive to a location where it is safe and not affecting the traffic to stop you and confront you with the reason for their stop, whatever it might be.

Subbed after your line "No, I didn't get shot, I just had to sneeze" 😂

It is VERY rare to be flagged down and handed a ticket directly. The VAST majority of speeding tickets are created by speeding cameras and sent to you by mail.

I am german. I used to be a service technician and spent a lot of time on the road because of that. I was in countles traffic checks. That beeing said:
- Policeman don't just stand in the middle of the road
- beeing "waved in" by a policemen on foot is definetly possible
- In many cases you just get a warning
- In some cases you can pay the fine right away
- I only remember 3 traffic policeworkers that were assholes / i met probably about 100 traffic policeworkers so far
- The phrase: "Dein Freund und Helfer" is a real thing and older than my grandfather
- If they get the impression that you lie to them or start acting, they will search you even more thorough
- The procedure in a traffic check is (in a lot of cases) as follows:
0. they expect from you that you stop gently, turn off your engine and open your window
1. greetings
2. telling the reason why they stoped you
3. ask for your drivers licence and your car registration documents
4. want to know your destination (and sometimes where you came from, if they suspect that you are intoxicated or smuggeling)
5. on the reason why they stopped you
6. hand back your licence and registration
7. wish you a great day and safe travels
That is at least my experience regarding this video

Her video was incredibly tiresome to watch. She's telling the story like a child would, very hard to listen to her rambling.

I couldn't watch this video until the end. The lady is rambling frantically and without pause about a situation where really nothing happens that would remotely justify such agitation. When my 4-year-old daughter talks about how she found a pretty stone in the forest, it's somewhat similar, but far less annoying.

Of course the police men thought she s drunk or on drugs....

Being in a traffic stop in Germany is about as dramatic as making a deposit at your bank and similarly professional. No drama or action unless you really do something stupid and then they will arrest you with the utmost respect. German cops will not arrest you 'just because'. It is mostly for people assaulting others/them or a high level risk.
As a First Responder I have only seen like 2 arrests. The rules for employing cuffs (or things like pepper spray or service weapon) are very strict.
German cops are highly trained professionals and you don't get a 2nd chance. Once they fire you, you can no longer become a cop in Germany anywhere!
