As a german i can tel you:
140 km/h = fuel saving, 180 km/h = cruising, 220+ km/h = having fun, 250+ km/h = now you can use the left lane.

German here: Keeping space between the to leftmost lanes in a traffic jam is entirely purposed to let emergency vehicles pass.

Bikes use it as well, but especially on hot days this is commonly considered okay because they are getting really hot in their clothes, with a hot machine right under them. Without the airflow they might overheat and suffer health issues.

*"OMG IT'S SO FAST!"*

Me, a German: Confused as hell

Bless their little hearts. They think, 180 is really fast.

The most creepy thing on the Autobahn is that no matter how fast you drive there's always someone driving faster😂

Holy crap, he knows the rules!
I'm amazed. So there ARE people with the decency and foresight to learn the f*cking rules before driving on the Autobahn. I had given up hope :D
Kudos to him!

Things nobody says ever:
1. Really nice car = Ford
2. Nice navigation = Apple maps

"We have a really nice car, it's a Ford" <- Sentence I never thought I'd hear in Germany... :p

Fun fact: The Autobahn is the safest road in Germany, calculated by accident/mile or injuries/mile. The accident count is a third of those on US highways. Josh perfectly got the rules right, and he even guessed right: The lane in the middle is kept open for police and rescue vehicles. It is mandatory, by the way. It is the first time I see a travel vlog from US-citizens and someone knows how to drive :) Chapeau!

180 Km/H is fast? In Germany we say: Haha so fahr ich morgens zum Bäcker!

So at 8:47 you guys mentioned the gap between the cars. This gap is called the "Rettungsgasse" (Rescue alley). It's there so the ambulance can get through as quickly as possible in case of an accident. So if there is traffic on the Autobahn an alley is always formed between the far left lane and the lane right next to it.

Greetings from Germany 😊

My American visitor to the UK said he was scared that I drove 70 mph on the motorway; I said that I was scared he had a Colt 45 in his glove box.

The gap is called "Die Rettungsgasse" and is for emergency vehicles

9:28 It's Called "Rettungs Gasse" and it is for Emergency Vehicels, like Police, Medics and Fire Departments. You have to do the Rettungs Gasse, if you don't do it and the Police sees it you can get a ticket for not doing it.
