There are tons of affordable makeup products that are great, but high end products do make a difference sometimes

Spritzing a little isopropyl alcohol over any inexpensive lip product will make it transfer proof.

Im not so sure if that theory can be extrapolated to ALL high end vs drugstore makeup. I’ve been searching for a new concealer now, and I’ve found that some of the high end brands I’ve tried have actually not lasted as long on my face throughout the day as the Maybelline concealer I’m using right now does. Longevity depends on formula and materials as well as how the product combines with any other products or your skin itself. There are absolutely high end products that are superior to drug store products in longevity, but there are also drug store products that have actually been better than high end products for a much better price. And they’ve lasted longer, too! Do whatever works, but drugstore makeup can be just as if not more long lasting than high end.

People get so triggered by this and will willfully ignore the difference. Don't mind them, keep at it. Most expensive makeup is better than moat inexpensive makeup. There are exception to the rule but it doesn't make the rule less valid

Yeah but some people want to blend their lip liners. Formula IS important but a lot of times you're not getting much more for the price in my experience. Now, for complexion products with skin care? Yeah I might pay more. But a lip liner? Lol
