Me quedo con el buen aluminio. Ahora que todo es electrónico, lo mecánico ya no será ridículamente costoso. No me gusta pagar capricho, aunque disfruto mucho de la tecnología

I tried a bunch of stuff in the last years. Low end: Microshift. They make cheap 1 by shifting components, but the chain retention and quality (lot of plastic parts) is not good enough for serious use. High end: Shimano Di2. Effortless shifting, it got kinda cheapish/affordable thanks to the concurrent's wireless systems. I am a big fan of Box Components. They are cheap and reliable second hand.

Performance-wise: There are not many differences. Deore/NX is just fine. If you like to spend money on bikes, XT/GX might be a good upgrade. I even have some fancy XX1/XTR parts in my collection.

“ I lost the championship because someone hacked my gears halfway down the course “ . If it receives a signal it’s hackable, if a championship is close it wouldn’t take much for a mate down the course to hack the competitions bikes to make you win.
