Kids in Brasil play without shoes and become stars... It's how you play not the boots.

I always see younger players wearing the take down models of the most popular shoes and I think that is a mistake; like Josh said in the video these shoes are nothing like the top end models. If your budget is tight instead look for other brands that might not be as popular but offer excellent products. Brands like Diadora, Asics, Lotto among others offer excellent quality shoes that you can get for really good prices, since their popularity is not high they go on sale frequently. You can buy top of the line shoes from these brands for prices close to the take down models of the popular brands but offer far far superior quality and performance. Don't let yourself be manipulated by the marketing from the big brands and be smart, try something new and you will be suprised!

What is your price range first, that is the most important factor

Imo it doesn't matter the only thing you should care about is comfort and durability

There is a placebo effect, but it wears off. Whenever I get new boots I feel special and ready to play

Couldn't agree more. I bought the Nike Mercurial Glides Clash Ed. and they feel really good, however they were damaged (paint wearing off, broken studs, etc.) after 2 months of weekly usage. I bought the Nike Tiempo Mystics and I've had no problems with them. No leather wearing off, they are incredibly comfortable and the leather is not that different from the Legend. Great review as always, Josh. :)

The only way a shoes can make you play better is if it's comfortable. The more comfortable your feet are the better you will play

For a starter shoe just go try on some in store and see what fits. If you want specific models, I would say adidas f10, nike tiempo mystic, nike premier, or take-down Puma model

I would like to know how you felt in the blade legend elite Kangaroo Leather boot. I own them and find them quite comfortable.

I've got the middle version of the Nike Tiempo and I can honestly say, they are the best boots I've bought, they are so comfortable and have so much grip

In the Nike line they had an option to get a T90, Tiempo, CTR, or Mercurial in an elite version. they put a carbon fiber sole plate in the elite, but since the mercurial already has that what is the add on to the mercurial?

Thanks

Low end soccer balls often have many panels with lots of stitching, and are often very firm or very soft. High end soccer balls have fewer panels, minimal stitching, while retaining good structure and shape. I find that low end soccer balls are still very playable, my personal favorite being the Adidas 11 Glider, which retails for as low as $10 on SoccerPro. Compared to high end soccer balls, most low end balls do not offer as clean a strike, and are harder to get of the ground. With all that being said, low end balls are still very usable. In fact, some low end balls can play very well, like the Glider. The difference between high end balls and low ends is very much noticeable, but if you are on a budget, a low end ball and perhaps a pair of takedown cleats is a better investment than a fancy high end ball.

By any chance do you know if there is toe protectors that you could put in your soccer shoe to protect your toes?

I have a question that I've never really known the answer to and just sort of overlooked, what is the proper way to take care of a leather shoe?
