Dice’s satirical act of an Italian goomba dealing with feminism in the late 80s threatened the agenda — which is why they had to attack him. They never figured out Dice was making fun of the Italian goomba just as much as he was feminism.

As a teen I loved his stand-up, still do. People take everything so seriously. Political correctness is killing comedy and it’s sad.

We are all The Diceman one time or another. That's what makes him funny. He's us and we're him.

Dice is a Legend. Respect his comedy or not, he's done a lot of good for a lot of people. Ya'll need to get the Redwood tree out of your asses.

Damn, he is so handsome and good-looking here - Dice is okay too...

Didn't realize back then how intelligent and insightful he is. The Dice character put a label on him similar to Rocky and the actual high IQ Sly.

17:56 is the hardest I’ve ever laughed at any YouTube video ever 😂😂😂

Diceman was/is a great character because Andrew is a fine character actor. If the things that came out of his mouth on stage were his personal views, I could see people being upset. But he is playing a character.
I saw him many years ago at Pips in Sheepshead Bay. This was before he was a household name. And we spoke with him after the show. He was congenial, he was intelligent, soft spoken, and a very nice guy. People just get too uptight because they’re ignorant and he’s so good at what he does that they buy it. But that’s not Andrew Silverstein. It’s the Diceman that you’re buying. Andrew is simply an entertainer/comedian.

Ford Fairlane was one of the best great 'bad' flicks.

Pre "Internet of Things" : DiceMan, Cigarettes, Call-in shows, and Accents from All Over the Country.

Amazing he went from that bomb Ford Fairlaine to being in a Woody Allen movie, and A Star is Born, both were Oscar nominated and he received great critical reviews.

Why doesn’t CNN take calls anymore?? I’d love to call in to Rachael Maddow 😂😂😂😂😂

It's weird how you don't really see stand up comedians in gimmick anymore. Back in the 80s there were so many of them, and the general public had a total blurred line when it came to the character and the person behind the character

Wow, the first time (and probably last) I'll ever hit the like button on a CNN video.

I remember when this aired. I tried to call just to show my support but couldn't get through. I could never understand why he got hammered by people for his "vulgarity " when Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, and most black comedians were doing the same type of act and nobody said anything. Probably felt threatened by him.

The Dice rules. I am lucky enough to own a DVD of Ford Fairlane and I pull it out of mothballs every once in a while and introduce others to the fabulous Diceman.
