According to Swish Goswami, brands in the next few years are going to exist in an “extremely privacy-conscious world”. For example, third-party cookies that track users around the web are being deprecated on Chrome (and are already gone on Safari and Firefox).

Swish said those changes mean brands will no longer be able to track the interests and preferences of individuals when they arrive at websites nor understand the behavior of key audiences they care about (ex. top publications read, top shopping sites visited, etc).

Swish Goswami is the CEO & Co-Founder of Surf and the bestselling author of “The Young Entrepreneur”, a book teaching and encouraging students to build a business while they’re in school. Through his angel fund AGEX, Swish is an investor in popular companies like FaZe Clan, Othership, WOMBO, and Upstream. For his philanthropic and entrepreneurial achievements, Swish was inducted into Plan Canada’s Top 20 under 20 and Bay Street Bull’s 30 under 30, recognized as LinkedIn’s Top Voice and Startup Canada’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year and awarded the United Nation’s Outstanding Youth Leadership award.

Facinating discussion. Ready for a cookie-less digital world. ....Now, only if I could eliminate the cookies from my pantry. LOL.
